Simon Boyd
overview
Simon was born and raised in London. He studied Fine Art for four years at Middlesex University, focusing essentially on painting and video. After graduating he continued to develop his passion for painting while also working as a graphic designer at ‘Pink Pigeon’, a successful DVD and video postproduction company he co-created in Soho, London. He is currently based in Argentina.

about the artist
Simon’s paintings endeavor to plan as little as possible. Rather than have a predetermined objective; he prefers to let his compositions evolve of their own accord, acquiring their own presence and identity.
The range of visual imagery that Simon incorporates, gradually become molded into the background, forming part of the paintings fabric: like forgotten fables, they insinuate a lost memory or dream.
Within this dream there is a sense of the infinite, a landscape that possesses no beginning or end just a moment in time, a brief repose.
