Isabelle Dupuy

about the artist

French Contemporary Impressionist

Born in France in 1969, Isabelle Dupuy spent her childhood in the countryside of Provence, Southern France. She developed her artistic skills at Les Beaux Arts School in Valence, France as a teenager and young adult. It became a passion.

Isabelle developed her style of Impressionism from her favorite artists, Monet and Renoir. Her paintings are often inspired by locations near her home, the French countryside. Through her art, she transports the viewer to open spaces much like the home in which she grew up. She enjoys capturing on canvas the vivid colors and light of the Mediterranean.

Isabelle’s current work incorporates use of color and texture while capturing nature with a unique contemporary impressionism style. She likes to keep her artwork free of a conventional frame: she paints the sides of the canvas as if the landscapes seem to exist beyond the canvas. This more simple way helps the viewer to focus on the artwork itself, becoming a unique masterpiece.

Isabelle is an ambitious oil painter who will never limit her subject matter, her techniques and her style. She brings new energy to her work by isolating the most important colors, developing a more bold way of painting for maximum effect using her palette knife.

Isabelle’s goal is to beautify the lives of others by bringing the warmth and beauty of the nature around us. Painting with vibrant and warm colors is what gives her art an uplifting feeling of joy and peace.
