As an artist, I am inspired by my daily interaction with God’s beautiful creations such as nature, places and people. From there, I transpire my vision into canvas with bright and beautiful colors and whatever comes to my imagination. I want my audience to feel my passion and for them to feel happy as well when they stare at my paintings in their homes. My art speaks for my appreciation of not just the beauty of life but of life itself. I was born to be an artist and my job is not just to create beautiful paintings but to also share them with the world.

about the artist
Frederico Domondon is a self-taught San Francisco Bay Area impressionist artist and musician. As a painter, Frederico specializes in acrylic paintings of Tuscan landscapes, café scenes, still life, portraits and figurative paintings. His paintings which are known for their vibrant colors and spontaneous brushstrokes are heavily influenced by Monet and Van Gogh. His clientele have often complimented him that his art work “moved them” and “they feel something” when looking at them. He is also a professional vocalist, pianist and a songwriter.
A Manila native, Frederico discovered that he could draw at a young age of 7. Growing up, he mainly did portraiture using pencil and charcoal. Art was a big part of his life as a kid that he preferred staying home sketching than playing with other kids. Then, at 16 years old, he and his family immigrated to the United States when his mother got remarried to an American lawyer. Upon his mother’s advice, he graduated with a Bachelors degree with a major in accounting from San Francisco State University.
However, after graduation and within months of working as an accountant, his artistic passion began to haunt him that he started painting in acrylic all the time. Frederico would often stay up all night long painting especially if he could not wait to finish a painting. Inspired by the beauty and quaintness of San Francisco where he was living, he started transferring his vision into canvas.
Friends who often visited his studio started purchasing his paintings and offers poured in for private home showings. From there, he started participating in local art festivals. From 1994 to present, Frederico has been successfully exhibiting and selling his own work at numerous art festivals in the Bay Area where he has sold more than 500 paintings in the last two decades. He also has an avid fan base of art collectors with his top collector owning 25 of his originals.
From 2003-2005, Frederico performed professionally at Papillon restaurant in Fremont, California as a pianist and vocalist. In 2005, Frederico released his debut music CD entitled “Frederico, the Artist” which featured cover songs and his original piano compositions. As a writer, his short story, “The Singing Artist” was published in 2004 in a book entitled “Every Woman Has a Story, Men Too!”.
In December of 2011, Frederico exhibited for the first time in New York City at Broadway Gallery in Soho. Then, in March 2012, Frederico will be participating at the 2012 New York Art Expo. His future plan is to expand his market beyond California by possibly exhibiting in New York and Florida.
