Artist Rocky Greco uses scope, scale, and perspective in his large format oils creating shadow and depth of tone. As well, he produces in multiple mediums. From stilllife and human figures to street scenes and landscapes, Greco studies people and locales to build upon his artistic principle in regeneration of spirit, soul, and place.
A native of Colorado, Rocky Greco began his artistic career working with models in the fashion industry in Denver, Colorado as a stylist and photographer for a major modeling agency. Within a few years, he took over the business and was running a full-service modeling and styling agency and selling contracts to other major modeling agencies including Ford Modeling Agency. These experiences kindled his interest in hair and he pursued his cosmetology license. His techniques and knowledge evolved over the 14 years he worked in Denver. Eager for a new opportunity to grow, Greco and his partner, Joe Corney, opened Paul Garcia’s Salon in Santa Fe, New Mexico with co-owner Paul Garcia. After traveling between both salons in Denver and Santa Fe, Rocky and Joe choose to move back to upstate NY, where Joe is originally from, and open up Rocky Greco’s salon and gallery in Pittsford, NY.
Rocky Greco has artwork displayed in the Mary Vincent Fine Art Gallery, his Pittsford gallery, and various commercial spaces including Helendale Dermatology, LVW Investment Firm, Focused Pain Relief in Victor and Prime Restaurant in Webster. The talent of Greco and his partner Joe also reaches into the home interior design and home construction realm. Their home was included in the Memorial Art Gallery’s 2013 Home Tour.
