From the time I can remember, as a child in Argentina, I drew and painted. Even when I lacked the materials, I was painting — sometimes just in my mind. My first teachers were the art galleries and museums in the three countries where I spent my childhood and adolescent years: Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela.

My formal painting education began at Skidmore College, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art. I continued studying with Master Courses at Syracuse University, and much later obtained an MBA from Florida Atlantic University. However, I am always studying and striving to master my technique by observing the line, the pattern of light and shadow, the composition of something or someone that catches my eye. I believe in the universality of the human condition and feel our connection to the natural world. These are my subject matters.

Many of my works have won awards in juried shows and several of them have won First Place and Best In Show, both here in United States and in South America. One of the most gratifying was the acceptance of my painting “Unfolding (By The Lily Pond)” into the prestigious Biennial Exhibition of The Artists’ Guild into the Boca Raton Museum Of Art.

I have exhibited my work as a solo artist in galleries in Caracas, Venezuela; Boca Raton and Delray Beach, Florida and in juried shows throughout the United States. I am a member of the American Impressionist Society; the Boca Raton Museum of Art Artists’ Guild (Signature level), the Delray Art League; and I have had my work published in books and magazine articles.

When not out in the field painting “en plein air”, I can be found in my studio in Delray Beach, plugging away at my easel.
